It kind of went like a bad date…

Well, the plastic surgeon was not comfortable with Kevin’s case, since he hasn’t done s surgery like this in over a decade. I told Kevin I felt like I was witnessing him on a really bad date, with someone telling him “It’s not you, it’s me.” LOL!

Very nice guy, though, and we really appreciated his honesty, and his willingness to follow his gut. We know if you don’t follow your gut about things it rarely works out! However, this means we’re in search of a plastic surgeon to work with Kevin’s scalp and do the skin graft required after the melanoma is removed. This may be another reason to pursue the University of Iowa, so we’ll ask questions about this during our visit tomorrow at the U. Step by step things seem to be heading in that direction. Hopefully we’ll have a better plan after tomorrow’s appointment.

Meanwhile, we’re cooking ourselves a very nice Valentine’s Day dinner.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Click on the link below to see our Valentine’s Greeting!!

  1. Loved your video greeting!! Hope you had a great dinner!! Don’t forget you have TQ to ask about doctors, etc. Love ya. Aunt Dianne

  2. Kath, Love the Jip Jap video!! I was out of town, so I’m getting all caught up. This blog is amazing!! You are such a blessing to our family and especially Kevin!! I strongly believe in ATTITUDE. A dear friend gave this to me:

The longer I live the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. ATTITUDE is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, talents, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is that we have a choice every day regarding the ATTITUDE we will embrace for that day. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and this is our ATTITUDE. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you. We are in charge of our ATTITUDES.

I hope this touches you & Kevin as it has me. God bless you both, In Jesus name! Amen!

    Love Always, Kimberly
